The Guide makes it easy to find experienced architects, contractors, consultants, and other professionals actively engaged in preservation work throughout the state. Whether youโre looking for expertise for an upcoming project or hoping to connect with peers in the preservation community, the Guide serves as a centralized hub for connecting New Yorkโs preservation network. โ
In 2026, the Preservation League of NYS was awarded $356,700 from the New York State Council on the Arts to support the Leagueโs signature NYSCA regrant partnerships. The longstanding Preserve New York and Technical Assistance Grants will be consolidated and reorganized as PNY Arts + Culture: Support for Pre-Construction Studies and PNY Arts + Culture: Support for Arts-Based Community Preservation Projects.
The Preservation League of NYS is thrilled to share that two capital projects will receive funding from its Preservation Opportunity Fund in 2026. The League has awarded $40,000 to Citizens Advocating Memorial Preservation, Inc. (CAMP) and $10,000 to the 1890 House Museum and Center for the Arts (a portion of this award is made possible by the Estate of Warren S. Eddy).
In his new book, The Handcrafted Utopia: Arts and Crafts Communities in America's Progressive Era, Thomas Guiler takes a look at three intentional communities within the Arts and Crafts Movement โ Rose Valley, Byrdcliffe, and Roycroft. In this webinar, Guiler focuses on one of these communities โ Roycroft, located outside Buffalo in East Aurora, NY.
