Relive our 2024 Pillar of New York Awards

On Thursday, March 14, we hosted a festive evening in New York’s iconic Rainbow Room for our 50th anniversary Pillar of New York Awards. In addition to our wonderful honorees and their guests, the room was filled with League Trustees and members of the Trustees Council, historic preservation students and recent grads, and great friends and supporters of preservation.

Many congratulations to Peggy King Jorde, Richard J. Moylan, and Melissa Auf der Maur & Tony Stone. This year’s Pillar Award recipients are all truly deserving of that title and delivered heartfelt and inspiring remarks during the event. In the middle of the evening’s festivities, guests also raised their paddles in support of the newly launched Preservation Opportunity Fund — raising additional funds to help jumpstart this new initiative that will provide capital funding to New York State nonprofits that steward historic properties.
