Come to a birthday party and program for Frederick Law Olmsted! Central Park, Prospect Park and many others across the United States are enjoyed today because of the way Frederick Law Olmsted designed them. He believed in the wonder of nature as a remedy to the stress of urban life. He advocated for free access for all. Discover some trademarks of Olmsted’s design in Boston’s Emerald Necklace, Central Park, Prospect Park and the Bayard Cutting Arboretum.

Speaker: Dr. Roxanne Zimmer, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Suffolk County, NY
