Chris Eastman, Training Manager for Local Governments at the NY Department of State will present the local government training's most requested course. This course is appropriate for a wide audience, including new members of planning boards and zoning boards of appeals, as well as other local officials and the general public. This course provides a basic overview of the functions of planning boards and zoning boards of appeals and the land use tools they work with, the role of the comprehensive plan, procedures for holding meetings and hearings, and enforcement of the boards' decisions. This webinar is hosted by the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation Certified Local Government Program and is presented by the NYS Department of State Division of Local Government Services. Attendance at this webinar will count towards CLG commission member annual training requirements.
