This is for all the first-time homebuyers, DIYers, and old house enthusiasts who don't know everything about fixing up a historic house — but are doing their best (or aspire to)! Not everyone who loves old houses is a trained preservationist, but you don't have to be. In this Roundtable, hear from folks who have gone down the DIY restoration route themselves or have expertise in guiding homeowners in their own old house journey. Ask questions, commiserate, and share tips and tricks.
Our series of Preservation Roundtables is designed to provide a more interactive experience for anyone looking to find inspiration from people who have tackled similar preservation projects. Each roundtable will feature several speakers who will share their stories and expertise as part of a larger conversation with all participants. Part technical assistance and real-world case studies, part support group. Come with your questions and leave with new connections!
If having a sign language interpreter present for this webinar would facilitate your participation, please let us know at least one week in advance: kpeace@preservenys.org
We are pleased to offer 1.5 CE credits for architects offered through the New York State Education Department. Please note: The League does not report to NYSED the way that other credit programs (ex., AIA) would. Certificates of completion are for each architect's individual records and reporting procedures for maintaining licensure.
