The Northern Slavery Collective: How Museums and Historic Sites are Joining Forces to Collaborate on Interpreting the History of Enslavement

The Northern Slavery Collective (NorSC) is a group of museum professionals and academics dedicated to researching and interpreting the history of enslaved people and the practice of enslavement in the Northern United States. A panel of professionals will discuss the challenges that member institutions faced in their journey to create a more inclusive narrative and how they have worked creatively to overcome them. The virtual panel will begin with a brief introduction to NorSC and each panelist’s institutions and then move into a question and answer session.
