COVID Protocols: Frequently Asked Questions

How are you collecting my proof of vaccination? Will it be done in advance, or on-site upon arrival?

Proof of vaccination, as well as identification, must be presented by your guests on site upon arrival. Rainbow Room management cannot accept proof of vaccination submitted via email in advance.

What documents should I bring to the event?

1. Proof of identification. Examples of acceptable forms of identification include but are not limited to:

  • Driver’s license

  • Non-driver government ID card

  • IDNYC card

  • Passport, school, or work ID card

  • Individuals may also show copies of their identification document, including a picture on their phone or by using an app like NYC COVID Safe that allows them to display a copy of the document

2. Proof of vaccination. Sufficient proof of vaccination may be demonstrated by displaying:

  • A photo or hard copy of a CDC vaccination card

  • NYC COVID Safe App

  • New York State Excelsior App

  • Official vaccine record

  • A photo or hard copy of an official vaccination record of a vaccine administered outside the United States for one of the following vaccines: AstraZeneca/SK Bioscience, Serum Institute of India/COVISHIELD and Vaxzevria, Sinopharm, or Sinovac.

Are guests required to wear masks?

We ask that guests wear masks in the lobby areas and elevators of 30 Rock. After showing proof of vaccination on the Mezzanine, and upon arrival to the 65th Floor, masks are recommended based on CDC guidelines, but are not required.

Will Rainbow Room employees wear masks?

Yes, all employees will wear masks.

I have a table guest who is unvaccinated by choice and wants to show proof of a negative PCR test. Are they able to attend my event?

No. There is no option for presenting negative COVID test(s) as a means of avoiding the Key to NYC requirements.

I have a table guest with a medical or religious exemption for vaccination. Are they able to attend Pillar?

Based on Emergency Executive Order 226, Rainbow Room may not permit entry to anyone 12 years of age and older who has not received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO

Will you also require contact details from guests?

No. Guest contact details are not required.

Are all Rainbow Room employees and vendors required to be vaccinated?

Yes, Rainbow Room employees are required to receive at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO.
