Have you ever been curious about how to identify and repair historic plaster work in your home, workspace, or on a project? Join AARCH for this rare opportunity to both learn from master plasterer Richard Barrow and contribute to the ongoing restoration of the historic and iconic Graves Mansion in Au Sable Forks. Gain hands-on experience through learning vital lathing techniques, the careful craft of mixing both lime and gypsum plaster, exploring application methods, and even try your hand at some decorative plaster work. Come coat some lathe and spend two-days learning the foundations of historic plaster repair from a master with over 35 years of experience and who has completed work from England’s Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace to the United States Capitol and the White House in Washington D.C.

This workshop is led by renown historic plaster expert and founder of Global Heritage Group, Richard Barrow. This two-day workshop runs from 9 AM to 4 PM for both days.

This project has been funded in part by a grant from the John E. Streb Fund for the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
